The Chief Prosecutor from the International Criminal Court should be fired over bias actions in favour of Zionist Israel:
Al Jama-ah Party has called on South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation to take the lead in calling for the firing of Karim Khan, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The party’s call follows Khan’s recent visit to Palestine where he only met with Israelis who were affected by the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Al Jama-ah’s leader and Member of Parliament Hon Ganief Hendricks says he deserved the snubbing from Palestinian human rights organisations after he only visited Israelis and ignored Palestinian victims of the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israel or to comment on the situation.
Al Jama-ah is not surprised by his bias actions; since he took over as the ICC Prosecutor in 2021, he has been avoiding any requests to meet with the Palestinian victims of Zionist aggression. He instead, only met with a small number of Palestinians in the West Bank at the Palestinian Authority’s presidency office.
“His bias actions in favour of the Zionist entity only casts doubt over whether his court will rule justly in the case of Palestinians who are the victims of Israeli war crimes.
We will write to the ICC to demand that this lame duck be fired,” says Hendricks.
