On the 12th of October the delegation of Portfolio of international Relations left South Africa for China for oversight to be conducted at the relevant Embassies of South Africa in Beijing and Shenghai.
Leading the delegation was the chairperson of the delegation Hon. Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumpelo(ANC), in attendance were members Hon. Adv Shameemah Salie (Al Jama’ah) and representatives from the, ANC, EFF, and MK parties. The DA representatives had withdrawn from the site visit
On Monday 14 October 2024 we had an oversight visit at the Embassy of South Africa in Beijing.
*The delegation was welcomed by HE Ambassador Cwele
A briefing was conducted by HE Cwele.
The site visit and walkabout of the mission and official residence was led by MR Chetty -CSM.
Concerns identified during the mission will be escalated by the portfolio committee and further investigations will ensue where required
