On the 15th October 2024 Advocate Honourable Shameemah Salie visited the National Museum in China. Shameemah Salie said”A part of international relations is understanding and respecting the history of the country one visits.”
The visit to the National Museum was followed by a meeting with Mr Liu Yuxi,who is the Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs.
Honourable Shameemah Salie then proceeded to attend a meeting at the Great Hall of the People. A courtesy call was received by Mr Cai Daifeng, Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
This was then followed by a working session hosted by Mr Lou Qinjian Chairman of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee.
