Advocate Honourable Shameemah Salie, attended the “Movement Against Illegitimate Leaders” event, honouring our teachers in their lifetime.
Advocate Honourable Shameemah Salie said “I’m the voice of the people and I’m here to equip the voice of the oppressed”
Shameemah delivered a speech and she had the following to say “This moment is a reminder to smile while we resist and remember every educator in Palestine who has been massacred by the unlawful occupiers and those who under extremely harsh circumstances continue to educate our youth both in South Africa and around the world.
We all have a duty to enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong,
We have to aspire to highlight the plight of the oppressed and those who are at mercy of the oppressors globally.
We have to aspire to highlight the plight of the oppressed and those who are at mercy of the oppressors globally.
We thank the Movement Against Illegitimate Leaders for honouring our educators and constantly being a reminder of the plight of the oppressed and the right of our youth to free quality education, importance of employment, shelter and health care championing the cause of the downtrodden.”
Al Jama-ah MP Advocate Shameemah Salie addressed the attendees at an event held by Sport Stepping Stones and Football for humanity with the focus on fundraising in lieu of dire need for winter clothes and food – especially for the children of Gaza who are facing a harsh winter, living in makeshift tents, having lost all belongings as a result of continued atrocities being committed by the unlawful occupiers of Palestine.
