So much to celebrate, and yet always with the underlying awareness that everything we are doing is for the people. So, we met to celebrate the victories – to honour Hon.Ganief Hendricks, newly appointed Deputy Minister of Social Development, MPL Galil Brinkhuis, Advocate Hon.Shameemah Salie, and Advocate Yusuf Khan Dalwai – and to discuss the way forward.
We gathered to unpack and discuss the issues affecting our communities, that of unemployment, crime, drug abuse and poverty. That is after all what Al Jama-ah stands for! Justice, equality, compassion, community!
