Africa Day
Africa must embrace a cyber-civilization to fast track a truly United Africa with the advantage it is the first virtual Continent in the world.
“I am an African” the famous words of former President of South Africa His Excellency Thabo Mbeki has created a storm that today his words are in the hearts of every person in Africa including South Africa. Under the leadership of his Excellency President Ramaphosa it is not a pipe dream that the “guns can be silenced” in the Continent. Africa however is not doing enough to put a stop to the new colonization threats. Our founding fathers have been very clear that individual countries on its own will remain weak after uhuru and will only prosper when the drums beat and social media erupt that we have a United Africa with not a single border.
South Africa is not setting a good example to embrace the vision of leaders like Robert Sobukwe and Oliver Tambo by creating single borders with former colonial powers funding its construction through its proxies and putting the country into debt for 20 more years. This in spite of the fact that the African parliament is flexing its muscles. The country’s Ministers are developing legislation for the 6th Parliament to adopt limiting certain businesses for job seekers from African countries outside its colonial borders.
South Africa’s ruling Sheikh’s and Moulanas must embrace African leadership in religious matters and to break away from domination to give South Africa a better image amongst the far superior Muslim African leaders on the continent. Discrimination by Muslim Sheikh’s and Moulanas against African Muslim spiritual leaders remains a blot on the Muslim community. This cannot be celebrated on Africa Day. The Gakim supreme leader in South Africa must be an African and more Africans must head up mosques and Islamic institutions in South Africa. This will eliminate the contempt that exists today.
The 6th Parliament celebrating Africa Day today must send a strong signal that after its first year the next 4 years will be marked with more vigor and it will be bold enough to have a separate parliamentary portfolio committee driving a United Africa to show South Africa is really serious to see a United Africa rising from what appears tone lip service in its corridors of power.
