AL JAMA-AH delegation held a meeting with representatives from the World Uyghur Congress namely President, Mr. Turgunjan Alawdun ,Mr. Dolkun Isa – former president now legal advisor and Ms. Zumretay Arkin – vice president.
The representatives of the Uyghurs are reaching out to create awareness on the genocide being committed against Muslims in China. Serious concerns were raised surrounding the camps in China where over a million muslims are being detained and programs are used to re-educate muslims and forcing them to forget Islam.
Muslims are not allowed to practice Islam, attend masjid, recite the Quran, fast in month in Ramadaan, women are raped, forced sterlization are conducted and in Uyghur homes soldiers are placed to ensure Islam not practiced.
Uyghurs are used as slaves in factories. Many Uyghurs have reported missing family members.
They, like many other communities, are marginalized and restricted and are seeking assistance for their plight like Palestine, Kashmir, Sudan and many other oppressed around the world to be addressed.
