The Deputy Minister of Social Development, Ganief Hendricks, kicked off his community engagement on the 17th October 2024 at the Chris Hani Development Center in Cofimvaba, bringing essential government services closer to the people.
This innovative approach eliminates the need for residents to travel long distances to access assistance.
Together with the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), the Department of Health, and the Department of Home Affairs, Hendricks ensured that villagers received comprehensive support.
To make the event even more accessible, he arranged for taxis to transport villagers from surrounding areas so that everyone from every village in Cofimvaba gets the help that they need.
