On Heritage Day, 24 September 2024, PR Councillor Ahmed Stulweni treated 45 Madressa students from Wellington and 15 parents on an educational tour to the Kramats In Faure, Macassar

Sheikh Yusuf Kramat is a sacred shrine, where the holy men of ‘Auliyah’ where laid to rest. These men, many of them noblemen, were brought as prisoners from Arabia, India and Malaya to the Cape Colony by the Dutch settlers
As the father of Islam in South Africa, his life and teachings are to be celebrated and there is much history to learn when visiting his shrine. How much more so on this day, where we commemorated 300 years of Islam in the Cape.

The bus fares were sponsored by PR Councillor Stulweni.

The cool drinks were sponsored by CJ Auto & Panel and snacks supplied by Mr Maliek.
Al jama-ah sponsored the burger meals.

Thank you to all for facilitating a truly memorable day.
