This Heritage Day marked 300 years of Islam in Cape Town.
It also marked, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Social Development and Al-Jama-ah’s President Hon. Ganief Hendricks first 100 days in office.
To celebrate this auspicious event, Al Jama-ah in collaboration with the Strand Muslim Council hosted a quranic recital cultural event with Dr Ahmed Naina From Egypt, a world-renowned reciter of the Quran.
The rationale behind this is to bless the period whilst he is on office to serve the South African nation. He chose this path to not only ignite the path that he has taken with a spiritual flavour and to continue on this difficult but blessed path of eradicating poverty in South Africa by 2030
