AL JAMA-AH confirms meeting with the EFF and MK Party on talks on the way forward towards the formation of a government:
Al Jama-ah’s Party confirms that it’s leader and Member of Parliament Hon Ganief Hendricks has met with the leaderships of the Economic Freedom Front (EFF) and uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party to discuss the formation of a government.
“I am confident that the EFF and MK will reach an agreement with the ANC. The party will hold further talks today and tomorrow with the EFF and MK and as well with the United Democratic Movement (UDM), Pan-Africanist Congress (PAC), and the African Transformation Movement (ATM) to map the way forward for a government,” says Hendricks.
Al Jama-ah reiterates its stance against a Government of National Unity (GNU) describing it as ‘a return to white rule.’ The party was contacted by the EFF and
MK for a meeting to discuss how black political parties need to work closer together and how to be accountable and not to fail the masses. The party says the term black, does not refer to pigmentation, but the term used by Steve Bantu Biko and the black consciousness movement to people classified as Coloured and Indian as well. The party is mindful of the fact that black parties may also fall into the Zionist constructed neoliberal trap; and together, they should avoid it at all costs.
“A meeting will take place today with the various parties as Members will be arriving to attend the first sitting in Cape Town. I am hopeful that we will reach an agreement with the ANC who can lead the government. But there must be broad consultation with the other black political parties, to ensure that the country is ruled by black political parties to prevent a return of white rule,” says Hendricks.
