AL JAMA-AH Manifesto Launch – Al Jama-ah Effect: Re-imagining politics for All! A Trusted People’s Party: Challenging the status quo, Ensuring meaningful change

Al Jama-ah held its Manifesto 2024 launch on Saturday 09 March 2024 at the Harmony Primary School Hall in Lenasia, Johannesburg.

Al Jama-ah Party, who has over the years implanted a growing national footprint, has announced that decent jobs, health, water, and personal safety to be at the core of its manifesto.

The fairly vibrant launch was attended by delegates from the key provinces where the party has a strong presence. At this important event, the party unveiled its triple whammy and silver bullet; on how the party will address poverty in South Africa. In response to this, the party intends to work tirelessly to ensure and realise the creation of decent work for all. It will do this through establishing full employment by 2030.

The party recognizes the decline in job opportunities for people between the ages of 45 and 60 years and intends to address their position within the job sector. “The lack of opportunities for these age groups results in leaving many homes vulnerable; the cost of living is ever increasing, and pensionable age for most people is 60 years. The party will strive to remedy the status of this age category,” says Hon Ganief Hendricks, the party’s President, and Member of Parliament.

Other manifesto promises include a charter of seven rights that is based on basic and fundamental human rights for all; it also intends to fight against a clause in the Intelligence Amendments Bill that the party describes as “a threat to the freedoms of South Africans and democracy in the country”.

On the land question, Al Jama-ah holds the view that every South African should have ownership of a piece of land; this is in line with the policy of the stalwarts of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC). “These veterans and thought leaders’ names have been added on several of the party’s lists submitted to the IEC. The lists include the names of 40 PAC members from the Eastern Cape Province. When Resistance fighters from different liberation movements were fighting side by side, there was an understanding that it doesn’t matter which political party they choose to be on when contesting the elections one day

Once a government has been formed after the elections, a Patriotic Front will be in place to govern. While the event is a national manifesto launch of Al Jama-ah, it has set the standard for the first manifesto launch of the Patriotic Front born out of the Resistance,” explains Hendricks.

The party uses Co-operative Governance as a tool for effective service delivery. Al Jama-ah will lead as a trusted political platform for all communities, while embracing co-operative governance with the Party’s critical co-presence. The party’s manifesto further states: “It will be united in its niggling pursuit of achieving social justice, equality, quality service delivery, accountability, real time oversight, consequence management, and ultimately creating an enabling environment with a prosperous future for all South Africans.”

After Al Jama-ah’s Gauteng Provincial Chairperson Councillor Amad Thapelo announced the official opening of the launch, the manifesto booklet was handed over to the party’s President by Councillor Kabelo Gwamanda who serves as the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg.

The party calls on South Africans to vote for the party to ensure amongst other rights, the charter of seven rights:
