AL JAMA-AH Party applauds Rev. Dr Allan Boesak for forcefully rebuking the Patriotic Alliance (PA) over its illogical support for the Zionist state of Israel. And the party praises Boesak for having withdrawn his support for the PA’s proposal to have a street named after him.
In a statement, Boesak said to the PA: “To be associated with a political party that supports the state of Israel in the way I have heard and seen Mr McKenzie does, is abhorrent to me. At this critical moment, it is the besieged people of Gaza, and the Palestinian people as a whole, who need our undiluted solidarity and support. In light of these developments, I withdraw my support for your proposal.”
Al Jama-ah thus takes the opportunity of naming and shaming the list of parties: DA, PA, African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), Congress of the People (COPE) and, Freedom Front Plus. In this regard, Al Jama-ah is taking legal advice of their stance in support of Zionist Israel; the stand that they collectively took is non-compliant with the Code of Conduct regulations as well as codes of conduct and behaviour for lawmakers of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC); the latter is an oversight structure that intends to launch the 2024 elections next week.
“These five opposition parties receive funds from several Zionist corporate companies. Despite the dastardly deeds of the Zionists against the Palestinians, these opposition parties prefer to remain deliberately silence and conveniently blind because they cannot afford to lose the financiers that keep each of their parties afloat.
The members of these five political parties must be warned that their conduct must comply with the UN resolution; one that bound South Africa not to support settlers and settlements who must be regarded as rightful combatants,” says Hon. Ganief Hendricks, Al Jama-ah’s Member of Parliament.
The party calls on the PA’s leader to seriously reconsider his party’s position on Zionist Israel’s policies. The PA’s support for Zionism has cause much hurt to not only all Muslims but to millions of Christians as well. South Africa’s peoples – Christians, Muslims, and several others – are freedom loving that support justice for all people across the globe.
