Condolences from Al Jama-ah
The Al Jama-ah Party is deeply saddened and shocked at the tragic loss of 63 lives
in the horrific fire of the Albert Building in the central business district in Johannesburg during the night.
The party sends its condolences to the families of the victims and pray for a speedy recovery for those injured in the blaze. This tragic incident highlights the shortage of houses and institutions for the homeless people.
Amidst the tragedy and uncertainties on the whereabouts of loved ones, Al Jama-ah calls for the families to remain calm and to allow our brave fire fighters and rescue teams to continue the search for possible survivors.
“This is a tragic incident, and our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones; we pray for the injured and for the safety of those still missing,” says Al Jama-ah’s leader and Member of Parliament Hon Ganief Hendricks.
