Represented the Rondebosch East Residents Association on the Western Cape Community Organization (WECCO) and was elected chairperson of the housing and development committe for the squatter camps, now called informal settlements.
Represented Wecco on the non-statutory committee during local government negotiations. Later represented the AMP on this negotiation forum in 1994.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>CAMPAIGN MANAGER / TREASURER</p>
<p>POLITICAL HISTORY</p>
<p>Represented the Rondebosch East Residents Association on the Western Cape Community Organization (WECCO) and was elected chairperson of the housing and development committe for the squatter camps, now called informal settlements.</p>
<p>Represented Wecco on the non-statutory committee during local government negotiations. Later represented the AMP on this negotiation forum in 1994.</p>
<p>Served on the executive council for Khayalitsha as a councillor, after the first local government elections in 1996.</p>
<p>Implemented low cost housing under the mandate of WECCO in Heins Park Mitchells Plain, Kleinfontein in Kraaifontein and Elingelethu in Malmesbury.</p>
<p>Provided on site training for members of the community. Left the AMP when they formed an alliance with the DA and became a working committee member of AL JAMA-AH in January 2007.</p>
