Legislation should be passed requiring people living in the neighbourhood to look after children. Leaving this to parents only is not secure enough says AL JAMA-AH Party Leader Ganief Hendricks as the 16 days of activism against the abuse of children comes to a close. The Party will draft legislation with regard to this policy of the Party and submit it to lawmakers for consideration. It will work closely with the Shoura Council in Saudi Arabia which is considering similar legislation.
