Party Membership

To be a card carrying member of Aljama there is a membership fee of R15 payable on joining. Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December and is due on 1 January each year. The deadline for renewal is 31 March but will only lapse once a final reminder has been sent by the Party giving the member 2 weeks to bring their membership up to date.

As some members join late in the year they can be exempted at the recommendation of the Branch chairman or the General Secretary of the Party and bring their membership up to date by paying a pro-rata fee for the subsequent year on before the end of that year and the fee for the new year.

For 2009 each applicant for membership since the launch of the Party will receive a statement confirming their membership status.
